Articles & Other Writings

Deborah O'Toole is the author of several articles, some of which were written during her tenure as staff writer for Ambermont Magazine. Others were penned under her pseudonym Shenanchie O'Toole for the "foodie" web sites Food Fare, Savorys by Shenanchie and Shenanchie's Kitchen.

The articles include an eclectic collection of topics ranging from the history of solitaire, Billy the Kid, Blarney Castle, Anne Boleyn, Lizzie Borden, Michael Collins, Cupid, the Loch Ness monster and Jack the Ripper to food bits about artichokes, avocados, coffee, garlic, hot dogs, Japanese Culture & Cuisine, mushrooms, olive oil, pine nuts, pirates, pumpkins, ravioli, sushi, tamales and proper tea.

The Ambermont pieces are now available as research papers at Class Notes or in e-book format from Amazon and Barnes & Noble, while some of the food articles are available as e-books as part of Food Fare's Culinary Collection.
