1 LB minced pork sausage
1 LB minced steak
2 onions, chopped
1 egg
1 C breadcrumbs
1 tsp. curry powder
1 TBS parsley
1/2 C milk
1/2 C water
Salt & black pepper to taste
In a large bowl, combine all of the ingredients; blend with hands. Shape into a loaf; place in a greased baking dish. Cook in a 250-degree F oven for about an hour-and-a-half. Add the sauce (recipe below) thirty minutes into cooking time.
Sauce for Aussie Meat Loaf:
1/2 C water
1/2 C tomato sauce
1/4 C Worcestershire sauce
1/4 C brown sugar
2 TBS butter
2 TBS vinegar
2 TBS lemon juice
Combine all of the sauce ingredients in a pot. Bring to a boil, and simmer for about five minutes. Pour the sauce over the meat loaf after the meat has been cooking for thirty minutes; finish cooking the meat loaf with the sauce.
