Melt butter in microwave for about twenty seconds. Spread half the butter on one slice of wheat bread; place butter-side down in a skillet over medium heat. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on bread slice in skillet. Butter other slice of wheat bread, place butter-side up on top of slice already in skillet. Cook, flipping once, until bread is golden and cheese is melted. Slice in half and serve.
