4 slices white or wheat bread
3 TBS butter, divided
4 slices cheddar or Gouda cheese
Pre-heat skillet over medium heat. Butter one side of a bread slice. Place bread butter-side-down onto skillet; add two slices of cheddar or Gouda cheese. Butter second slice of bread on one side and place butter-side-up on top of the sandwich. Grill until lightly browned and flip over; continue grilling until the cheese melts. Repeat with remaining two slices of bread, butter and slice of cheese. Recipe makes two grilled cheese sandwiches.
Variation: Add deli sandwich meat between slices of cheese before melting for extra flavor. Or try Grilled Cheese Rolls.
