4 eggs
1/4 C milk
2 TBS liquid Coffee Mate (original flavor)
1 TBS ground cinnamon
1 pinch nutmeg
2 tsp. vanilla extract
8 slices premium Italian bread (Oroweat)
Butter or margarine
Powdered sugar or maple syrup (for serving; optional)
In a bowl, beat together eggs, milk, liquid Coffee Mate, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla extract. Dip bread slices into mixture until coated on both sides. Melt one teaspoon butter or margarine in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place four bread slices into skillet and cook until browned on both sides, about three minutes per side. Repeat with remaining bread and butter. Serve at once. Suggestions: Serve garnished with powdered sugar or maple syrup.
