Seasonal Bits:

Just because the cooler weather is rolling in doesn't mean one has to forego a good salad.

Try the Autumn Salad for a quick mid-week main meal. Or if the frost is nipping at your toes, give it a whirl with our Bean & Bacon Soup.

Halloween Greetings from Food Fare...

Welcome to Food Fare and the seventh edition of our newsletter, Food Fare Notes.

My favorite time of year is finally here! The heat of summer is now just an unpleasant memory. Leaves are starting to change their colors, shedding the dusty look of the driest season. Food also becomes more interesting, full of harvest colors and flavors.

I'm probably one of the few people on the planet who detests sunshine and heat. If someone were to give me free boat cruise or plane tickets to Hawaii or the Caribbean tomorrow, I'd either turn them down flat or sell the tickets and use the money for something much more to my liking. Perhaps a trip to Transylvania to visit Count Dracula's castle?

That being said, thanks for stopping by Food Fare and enjoy the new recipes....and Happy Halloween!
