Gael Song is one of my favorite online shopping places. They sell a large range of products with a Celtic theme, including apparel, books, perfumes, jewelry, craft supplies and home decor. They also have a small line of kitchen goods, mainly dinnerware, imprinted baking pans, decorative tankards, flasks and other odds and ends.
As part of their current Celtic Table sale, Gael Song is offering a set of pewter measuring spoons ($65.00):
I love collecting the unusual, from kitchen gadgets to home decor knick-knacks. Wouldn't the following "mouse and mushroom" statue be a unique addition to any kitchen? ($28.00).
I have no complaints about the service or quality of products from Gael Song. I've been using my knotwork shortbread pan for years, typically around the winter holidays. It's well-built and sturdy, and worth the $30 price tag.
It bakes beautiful and delicious shortbread, without fail. That has something to do with the no-fail recipe of course, but giving friends or family members nicely-wrapped shortbread with a Celtic imprint is a bright spot during the Christmas season for me.
