Russian Kitchen
Posted Fri, 10/18/13
Russian Kitchen was updated and re-released yesterday with twenty-four new recipes and extra content. A new book cover was also designed:
Russian Kitchen is Book #28 in the Food Fare Culinary Collection. The e-book contains information about the food and culture of Russia, including country statistics, meals in Russia, customs and folk traditions, tea, Russian vodka, a summary of Russian food terms, authentic Russian recipes, useful words and phrases, and resources for further study.
Russian Kitchen is available at Amazon, Barnes & Noble and Kobo Books. It also comes in Adobe Digital format (which includes all food graphics and a recipe index). The new book cover, which was designed around a picture taken by a family member who visited Russia three years ago, replaced the old:
While perfectly happy with the old book cover, I have to admit I like the new one better. The backdrop of St. Basil's Cathedral at night is stunning.
Some of the new recipes in Russian Kitchen include:
-
Baklazhan (Eggplant Dip)
-
Chakhokhbili (Herbed Chicken)
-
Coulibiac (Salmon Pie)
-
Khachapuri (Cheese Bread)
-
Kharcho (Lamb Soup)
-
Kolachki (Cream Cheese Walnut Cookies)
-
Kulich (Easter Bread)
-
Okroshka (Cold Beef & Vegetable Soup)
-
Rassolnik (Beef & Cucumber Soup)
-
Ryazhenka (Baked Milk)
-
Soljanka (Spicy Sour Soup)
Next up? I'm working on an updated version of Swiss Chuchicha, which should be ready by next week.
Happy Cooking!
