Clambake Dreaming

I've always wondered what it would be like to take part in a clambake. Hopefully I'll find out when Wilbert and I move to Maine within the next year.
In the meantime, the following dish sounds good to me:
Baby Clams Steamed in Green Onion Broth
*Recipe Source: Bobby Flay
4 TBS olive oil
1 TBS chopped garlic
1 small onion, peeled & sliced thin
3 C clam juice
1 C white wine
3 TBS lemon juice
1 C packed parsley leaves
1 TBS honey
Salt & freshly-ground black pepper
40 baby clams
Heat the oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat until almost smoking and sauté the garlic until golden brown. Add the onion and cook until soft. Add the clam juice, wine and lemon juice and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for ten minutes. Place the broth in a blender with the parsley, honey and salt and black pepper to taste and process until pureed. Combine the broth and clams in a large saucepan over high heat and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover the pan and steam the clams until opened. Spoon into large bowls. Serve with garlic bread.
I would omit the honey, as usual.
