Kuwaiti traditional tea
1-1/2 C water
2 whole cardamom pods, broken
1 pinch saffron powder
2 tea bags
1 tsp. sugar (optional)
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine water, broken cardamom pods and saffron. Cover and bring mixture to a boil. Add tea bags. Allow tea bags to steep in saucepan for about one minute, or longer for stronger tea. Strain mixture through a sieve into a cup; sweeten with sugar if desired. Serve.
