Somali Tea
1/2 tsp. fresh nutmeg, grated
2 cardamom pods, crushed
5 cloves, crushed
1 cinnamon stick, crushed
4 C boiling water
2 TBS brown sugar
2 C milk
Place nutmeg, cardamom, cloves and cinnamon in the bottom of a teapot; cover with four cups of boiling water. Allow to steep for several minutes. Add brown sugar and stir. Pour 1/2 cup of milk each into four cups. Add tea and serve.
