Food Fare: Native American RecipesRoasted Trout

Preheat oven to 400-degrees F. Rinse and pat dry a whole trout. Place several pats of butter and lemon slices into the cavity of the fish. Drizzle olive oil over the whole fish and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Place trout on a sheet of aluminum foil; wrap tightly but leave a little space for steam to escape. Place foil pouch onto a cookie sheet and bake for about twelve to fifteen minutes, or until meat is opaque inside. Serve.
