Pork with Green Peas
1 LB pork, minced
3/4 C Passata (tomato sauce)
1 pkg. frozen peas
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 medium onion, chopped
2 TBS oil
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
White rice (for serving; optional)
Heat oil in a skillet. Add onion and fry for about five minutes; add garlic and fry for two minutes. Stir in minced pork and fry until evenly cooked, or until meat is no longer pink. Season with salt and black pepper; stir in tomato sauce and peas. Add enough water to cover the ingredients. Bring to a simmer, cover and cook for about thirty minutes, or until sauce has reduced and thickened.
Suggestion: Serve with white rice.
