Mushroom Pie
1 LB (450g) frozen puff pastry, thawed
2 TBS butter or margarine
1 onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, peeled & mashed
1/2 C white wine
1/2 C cream
1 tsp. curry powder
1 TBS Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. paprika
Pinch of nutmeg
Pinch of cayenne pepper
Salt & black pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 350-degrees F. Form thawed puff pastry into six well-greased pie pans; bake for about fifteen to twenty minutes. Remove from oven and set aside to cool. Heat butter or margarine in a large skillet; add onions and garlic. Cook for a few minutes over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Add white wine and mushrooms; stir to mix. Cover and cook for about five minutes. Increase heat to medium-high; cook uncovered until about half the liquid has dissipated. Stir in cream, curry powder, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, nutmeg, cayenne pepper and salt and black pepper; spoon mixture into the baked pie shells. Serve.
