Antipasto Della Casa

 

Salad:

• 1/2 head iceberg lettuce, diced

• 1/2 head romaine lettuce, diced

• 1 cucumber, diced

• 2 tomatoes, diced

• 6 strips bacon, cooked, drained & crumbled

• Romano cheese, cubed or sliced small

Dressing:

• 1/2 C mayonnaise

• 1/2 C sour cream

• 1/3 C buttermilk

• 2 pkgs. (4 oz. each) Ranch salad dressing mix

• 2 tsp. red wine vinegar

• 4 green onions, sliced (include greens)

• 3 TBS Romano cheese, grated

• 1/4 tsp. fresh chives, chopped

• Black pepper to taste

Combine the dressing ingredients and store overnight in an air-tight container in the refrigerator.

 

When ready to serve, combine salad ingredients with dressing. Top with Romano cheese and crumbled bacon.
