8 bacon strips, chopped
1/4 C onion, finely chopped
1 C apple cider
2 cans (16 oz. each) baked beans (retain liquid)
1/4 C raisins
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
In a large skillet, cook chopped bacon over medium-low heat. Drain on paper towels; set aside. Reserve two tablespoons of bacon drippings. Add finely chopped onion to skillet and sauté in reserved bacon drippings until tender, stirring occasionally. Add apple cider, baked beans with liquid, raisins and cinnamon. Stir to blend well. Bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for about twenty to twenty-five minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve.
