2-1/2 C flour
1/2 C sugar
2 sticks cold butter (1/2 LB); do not sub with margarine
Pre-heat oven to 350-degrees F. In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar together. Gradually add the flour, working to form a stiff dough. Spread the dough mixture onto a lightly greased 7x11" pan. Pierce the entire dough surface with a fork. Bake for forty minutes, or until a light golden color. While shortbread is still warm, cut into finger-size pieces.
