Piri-Piri Spice Mix

• 1 1/2 tsp. paprika

• 1 tsp. dried oregano, crushed

• 1 tsp. ground ginger

• 1 tsp. ground cardamom

• 1 tsp. garlic powder

• 1 tsp. onion powder

• 1/2 tsp. salt

• 1/2 tsp. ground Piri-Piri pepper (or cayenne pepper, add more to taste)

Combine ingredients and store in a sealable container in a dry place.

 

For use with meats and chicken.

 

Note: Piri piri is a cultivar of Capsicum frutescens, one of the sources of chili pepper, that grows both wild and domesticated. It is a small, extremely spicy member of the Capsicum genus. [Data source: Wikipedia].
