6 garlic cloves, peeled & mashed
1-1/2 C water
1/2 C chicken or beef broth
1/4 C to 1/2 C sugar
1/4 C soy sauce
3 TBS cornstarch
Salt & black pepper to taste
In a bowl, mix the cornstarch and sugar together. Add the broth, soy sauce and water to make a gravy. Mix well. Add the garlic and stir. Pour mixture into a saucepan. Heat over low heat until the mixture thickens, stirring frequently.
Suggestions: For use on meats, vegetables and pasta.
