Coney Island Dogs
1/2 LB ground beef, pork or chicken
1/2 onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
1 jar or can (2 oz.) minced pimientos
1 TBS chili powder
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. Accent seasoning
1 pkg. (16 oz.) beef franks, cooked
10 hot dog buns
Place ground meat in cold skillet and cook slowly, stirring until fine and crumbly. Pour off accumulated fat. Add onions, garlic, tomato sauce, pimientos, chili powder, Worcestershire sauce and Accent. Simmer the mixture for thirty minutes. The sauce may be thinned with water if necessary. Place cooked franks in hot dog buns; pour sauce on top and serve. Recipe makes enough for ten servings.
