Using Mason Jars with Blenders
According to the Simply Recipes article, "blenders can be used with a standard mason jar, or wide-mouthed mason jar." The mason jars are especially useful when trying to grind spices with blenders and making whipped cream.
Manufacturers used to include a mason jar in the box with the new blender around forty years ago. Typically, the box included a booklet that listed the many things one could make with a mason jar blender, including ground spices, whipped cream and peanut butter.
