Cheese Ball at the Movies

Yesterday was "movie day" at my house, so I went about preparing a snack tray before we watched War of the Worlds on DVD. I set out the usual – cheese, crackers, olives, sweet pickles, turkey Vienna sausage – but I also made a cheese ball.
The recipe comes from one of Wilbert's co-workers. It's very simple to make, and quite delicious. It would go over well at any holiday gathering.
Susan's Cheese Ball
2 pkgs. (8 oz. each) cream cheese
2 pkgs. Buddig Deli Meat (corned beef & pastrami deli pouches)
4 small green onions, minced (include greens and tops)
2 heaping TBS mayonnaise
1 TBS Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. Liquid Smoke
1 tsp. lemon juice
Soften the cream cheese slightly by leaving the packages on the kitchen counter for about thirty minutes. In a large bowl, combine all of the ingredients and mix well. Mash the cream cheese using a large spoon of necessary. Shape the mixture into a ball and place back in bowl or a small serving platter. Cover with plastic wrap and chill for two hours. Serve with crackers, chips or raw vegetables. Note: Recipe can be halved, and light mayonnaise can be used as well.
I couldn't find corned beef deli meat so I used canned instead. It actually worked better because the meat was in small chunks. The ingredients make a dense cheese ball, so we had a lot left over. The mixture also spreads easily on a toasted bagel.
