Oregon Half-Chai
Posted Wed, 11/28/12
I recently purchased a 10-ounce can of Oregon Chai Tea Latte, a powdered mix that only needs hot water to make an individual cup. First let me say the brew is delicious, probably one of the best I've ever tasted.
The canister cost $6.99, for which I had a $2-off coupon. Imagine my surprise when I first tried the mix, opening the can to find it only half-full of product. I understand the rhetoric of "product settles upon shipping," but certainly not to the extent that half is missing - literally.
I've sent an e-mail inquiry to the customer service department at Oregon Chai about the half-lack of product in my canister, so we'll see how that goes.
However, as much as I enjoyed the Chai Tea Latte, I will probably not buy the product again if the norm is a half-full container.
*UPDATE 12/10/12: Oregon Chai came through. Not only did they apologize for the half-full container, they shipped a replacement - free of charge - which definitely had more substance. Great customer service!
