A variation for cranberry sauce from Campbell's Kitchen:
Orange Cranberry Sauce
1 pkg. (12 oz.) fresh or frozen cranberries
1 C coarsely chopped orange
1 C packed brown sugar
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 C chicken broth
Mix cranberries, orange, brown sugar, cinnamon and broth in saucepan. Heat to a boil. Cook over low heat for ten minutes or until mixture thickens. Refrigerate until serving time. Makes three cups. For Roasted Orange Cranberry Sauce: Use 1 can (14 oz.) chicken broth. Mix all ingredients in 17"x15" roasting pan. Roast at 450-degreesF for twenty-five minutes or until mixture thickens. Refrigerate until serving time. Makes 2-1/2 cups.
It's nice to deviate from the norm once in awhile.
