Sandwich Convert

Whenever Wilbert and I go to Subway, I order a "cold cut trio" with double meat, extra onions, and no tomatoes. I also love the addition of cheese, mayonnaise, olive oil and vinegar. Wilbert dislikes oil and vinegar on a sandwich, and has always refused to try mine. The other day he decided to go out and get lunch, when he bought himself a couple of Burger King Whoppers and my favorite Subway.
Somehow or other I persuaded him to try a bite of my sandwich, and lo and behold he liked it. For a man who loves food as much as Wilbert does, he is very leery of what he considers "new" cuisine (much like my father), and it's only after being "forced" to try something that he finds he has a taste for it.
There may have been a method to his madness when he bought my sandwich – he ordered the 12"-size, which he knows I'll never finish. I always eat a 6" portion, but by the next day any leftover simply resembles meat and vegetables in soggy bread and I won't touch it.
The remaining 6" sandwich went into my husband's tummy. Once again, I've converted him to a "new" tasty trend.
