Chez Wilbert

Wilbert made one of his more "famous" lunches today.
He split a loaf of baguette bread in two and spread each side with a combination of minced garlic and melted butter. Then he topped the bottom half with a selection of cold cuts (turkey, bologna, ham and salami), and then thinly sliced onions, tomato from our garden and mozzarella cheese.
He baked the two loaf halves for twenty minutes at 375-degrees F, switching to broil the last five minutes and then topping the bottom half with sliced avocado and lettuce strips. Wilbert cut the whole baguette loaf in half, and then in half again.
I was only able to eat part of my sandwich, while he polished his off. We had chips and Pepsi on the side. I still have no room for dinner.
In all honesty, Wilbert's "little" sandwiches are far better than those found at places like Subway.
