Skimping Along

Yesterday we had an overnight visitor. Our spur-of-the-minute lunch included Safeway's pizza. It was one of those pizzas removed from the container and baked in the oven, but it was surprisingly good.

 

Later, instead of pulling out all of the stops for dinner we simply offered a smorgasbord of deli meat, bread and chips.

 

I'm in the throes of correcting the text file of my book manuscript, so I haven't been cooking much lately. I hope to have the manuscript out of the way in the next ten days and back in the hands of my publisher.

 

I already have a meal idea brewing in my head. The dish should have appeared in my article Ravioli in the Kitchen but didn't, so I'm going to try preparing Spinach & Mushroom Ravioli, hopefully next weekend.

 

I'll report the result of my efforts as soon as the deed is done.
