Garlic Rocker
Posted Thu, 08/11/11
According to Fast Design, British kitchenware company Joseph Joseph is the manufacturer of a new garlic chopper named the Rocker. Made from stainless steel, the gadget is built on a curve so garlic can be chopped with a "rocking" motion. Unlike a typical garlic press, the Rocker doesn't have any nooks and crannies where crushed garlic can hide, thereby allowing garlic to be removed quickly with finger or spoon.
The Rocker costs $15 through Amazon.
Not everyone is thrilled with the gadget. One of the comments left at the Fast Design article reads: Guess what - I own one of the Rockers, and sadly it does not work. I bought it exactly because it a great looking product, honest material, looks ergonomic and thought-through. Until you try it with real garlic. It now sits idle in my drawer, while I'm cutting up my garlic with a knife.
