Appetizing Muse

We had lunch at the Rancho Chico restaurant today. It was a big letdown after being spoiled by the food at Casa de Oro.

The tamales at Rancho Chico were dry and smothered in some sort of sweet enchilada sauce. After scraping away the mess, the tamale was still rather tasteless and choke-in-the-throat.

The enchiladas were made with corn tortillas, which I'm not accustomed to. The rice tasted as if it came from a boxed mix.

We live and learn. Next time, it's back to Casa de Oro.
