Culinary CSI

Tonight's re-run episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation ("Last Supper") was all about food, so to speak. Wolfgang Puck played himself on the show.

From IMDB:

When contestants on a popular reality cooking competition accidentally ingest cooked human flesh during a challenge, the CSIs are brought in to investigate and track down the rest of the remains.

Crime drama remains my favorite genre of television viewing. While CSI is not number one on my list (Law & Order SVU maintains that honor), I've watched the show for years and always found it enjoyable. Last night's episode was no exception.

My favorite bona fide foody programs? I tend to watch the Barefoot Contessa, Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown, Irish Food Trails, Jacques Pepin, Nick Stellino and Simply Ming.

I don't like cutthroat competitions or "reality" shows for the most part. However, I make an exception for Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares.
