Italiano Cravings

I had my pasta fix today. I crave Italian food in various forms about once a month.
This time I prepared tomato sauce using Italian sausage and button mushrooms, along with chicken and herb ravioli.
Garlic bread is a must when having such a meal, but I forgot to replenish my homemade supply of garlic butter. Instead, I spread several slices of potato bread with butter, and then sprinkled each piece with dried minced garlic, parsley flakes and a dash of paprika for garnish.
Using dried minced garlic gave the bread a nice crunchy topping during the broil, with almost a caramelized feel, although afterward the strength of the garlic stayed around for quite a long time (combined with the generous amounts I typically use in sauce).
I'm set for another month . . .
