Food Network Goodies

Alton Brown is an oddity on the Food Network, but he's original and entertaining. Food Network also features Alton's Home Kitchen, complete with pictures (page now defunct).

Speaking of the Food Network, the following is one of their Easter offerings:

Cola-Basted Ham

1 (18-pound) cured ham

2 (12-ounce) cans cola

Preheat the oven to 325-degrees F. Place ham in a shallow roasting pan. Baste the ham with cola, and cover it with foil. Bake the ham for fifteen to eighteen minutes per pound, or until the meat reaches an internal temperature of 140-degrees F. Baste with cola about every thirty minutes during cooking.

The recipe comes from the show Paula's Home Cooking.
