2 C pumpkin puree (fresh or canned)
1 C brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 pkg. cream cheese, softened
In a large bowl, mix the pumpkin and cream cheese and blend well. Stir in the other ingredients, mixing together until very smooth. Refrigerate at least four hours, or overnight. Serve with crackers, celery or carrots.
Variation: For a lighter dip, substitute sour cream for the cream cheese.
