Pearl Hominy Soup; Chickasaw

Bring water to a boil in a large cooking pot over medium-high heat. Add cracked corn; reduce heat to medium simmer and stir frequently. Add more water if necessary. When corn is about half done (not completely soft after 2.5 hours), add cubed pork. Cook until meat is tender and soup is thick, about another 2.5 hours.
