Miser's Feast
2 LBS potatoes, peeled & sliced
2 onions, peeled & sliced
Water
1 LB bacon, sliced & cut in half
Salt & black pepper to taste
Place onions and potatoes in a pot of lightly-salted water; bring to the boil. Once mixture is boiling, add bacon and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Reduce heat to simmer; cover and cook for about one hour to ninety minutes, stirring occasionally. Drain mixture and serve hot.
