Deep-fried meatballs
2 LBS minced beef
2 onions, grated
2 eggs
1/2 C olive oil
3 slices of bread
2 TBS parsley, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt & black pepper to taste
Flour
Oil for frying
Place the meat in a bowl; add the eggs, parsley, garlic and onions. Soak the bread in water; squeeze out excess moisture. Add bread to meat mixture, along with the salt and black pepper to taste. Mix in remaining ingredients. Make small round shapes and flatten with hands. Coat meatballs with flour. Heat oil in a large cooking pot or deep-fat fryer over medium-high heat. Drop meatballs in hot oil and cook until meat is no longer pink, about five to seven minutes. Drain on paper towels.
Suggestions: Serve with French fries, or topped with tomato sauce.
