Jahlova Kase
Chadian millet porridge
1/3 C millet
3/4 C water
1/2 C skim milk or soymilk
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Pinch of salt
2 TBS raisins
Maple syrup or honey
In a saucepan, combine millet, water, milk, cinnamon, vanilla, salt and raisins. Bring mixture to a boil, stirring. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer for about twenty-five minutes or until liquid is completely absorbed. Remove from heat. Drizzle with maple syrup or honey. Serve.
