Food Fare: Valentine's Day RecipesCream Brandy

Place the ice cream in a large bowl; divide into four quarters. Let stand until slightly softened, about ten minutes. Add brandy; mix with a hand beater on low speed for about thirty seconds. Cover and freeze until mixture is thick, about three to five hours. Just before serving, stir mixture gently and pour into chilled glasses. Sprinkle with shaved chocolate if desired.


Note: The brandy can be substituted with other flavored-brandy, such as peach or cherry.
