Cheesy Caraway Muffins
2 C flour
1 TBS baking powder
2 tsp. sugar
1 egg
1 1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. dried mustard
1 C sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1 C milk
1/4 C butter, melted & cooled
1 1/2 tsp. caraway seeds
Preheat oven to 350-dgrees F. Sift flour, baking powder, sugar, salt and mustard into a large bowl; stir in cheese. In another bowl, whisk together egg, milk and butter. Add to flour mixture and stir batter until ingredients are combined. Divide batter among 12 well-greased muffin tins. Sprinkle muffins with caraway seeds. Bake for twenty-five to thirty minutes, or until muffins are golden. Cool for two minutes before placing muffins on a rack. Recipes makes 12 muffins.
