Bangers & Mash
1 large onion, peeled & chopped
1 LB potatoes, peeled & cut into bite-size pieces
1/2 cube butter
1 TBS milk
1 LB link sausages
Water
Salt & black pepper to taste
Peel and chop onion; place into a skillet. Barely cover with cold water; bring to a boil. Simmer for about twenty-five minutes; drain. Peel potatoes and cut into bite-sized pieces. Place the potatoes into another skillet covered with water. Add a pinch of salt; bring to a boil. Reduce to simmer and cook until potatoes are tender, about twenty minutes. Drain potatoes and place into a large bowl. Add butter, milk, salt and black pepper. Mash until smooth. Add link sausages to skillet; cover with water and gently boil for about ten minutes. Drain and return sausages to skillet; cook until no longer pink. Stir onions into the mashed potatoes, mixing well, and place on a serving platter. Place the sausages upright in the potato mix (in a round circle if you wish), and serve.
