Bacon & Swiss Salad
2 C iceberg lettuce, torn into large pieces
2 C Romaine lettuce, torn into large pieces
4 oz. Swiss cheese, cut into strips
1 small red onion, thinly sliced
1/2 C salad dressing or mayonnaise
2 TBS sugar
10 slices bacon, cooked crisp & crumbled
In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, sugar and bacon. The mixture will be thick. Refrigerate for one hour to blend flavors. In a large bowl, combine the salad ingredients. Just before serving, add the dressing and toss until well coated. Makes 4-6 servings.
