Banquet of Love

It was freezing cold in the Inland Northwest today. Cooking was the last thing on my mind, frankly. I didn't feel like stirring to prepare a meal.

Banquet to the rescue!

Wilbert picked Salisbury Steak, into which I threw some frozen peas and carrots. It was actually very good for a TV dinner and packaged veggies. On his honor, Wilbert claims he will prepare Sunday dinner (roasted chicken with stuffing), and I'm going to hold him to it.

He is truly a wonderful cook when he puts his mind to it - adventurous and imaginative – much more so than I on a daily basis. As I've said before, I dread and avoid daily cooking slog. I'd rather create on a whim, and not have to think about what to slap down on the kitchen table just to provide a meal.
