A Bit of Explaining

Posted Sat, 03/22/03

It wasn't my intention to begin another blog. I have so many different projects going on at once I decided to create this second blog just to detail the work I do at Shenanchie's Kitchen (et al: Savorys by Shenanchie and Food Fare).

My main blog is Irish Eyes, where I make entries about my fiction writing along with the writing I do for various cooking sites. It can get a bit confusing, especially for anyone reading who doesn't have a clue as to who I am.

This blog will be all about cooking, creating and operating cooking-related web sites and the progress of my attempts to get a cookbook distributed. I have publishing contracts for two of my fiction novels (The Advent and Celtic Remnants), but prefer to release the cookbook on my own. I've had many requests for a cookbook from Food Fare, but never had anything to offer.

Hopefully that will soon change.

Back-Story: Savorys by Shenanchie started out small in 2000. It contained Irish dishes, dog food recipes, links and nearly two dozen articles about the food and culture of different countries. A year later, the site branched out to Shenanchie's Kitchen, which contained recipes from the articles, a large number of dishes from my own collection, cooking tips, reader's e-mail and links. In 2008, the site was renamed and launched as Food Fare, which it remains to this day.
