Fowl Sunday

Lawry's Lemon Pepper MarinadeI baked chicken legs and thighs seasoned with Lawry's Lemon Pepper Marinade yesterday. A thirty-minute marinade was recommended, but I ended up leaving the mixture for almost twenty-four hours.

It was marvelous, leaving me eager to try other marinade flavors from Lawry's (Baja Chipotle, Caribbean Jerk, Citrus Grill, Havana Garlic & Lime, Hawaiian Marinade, Herb & Garlic, Louisiana Red Pepper, Thai Ginger, Mesquite, Sesame-Ginger, Steak & Chop, Tequila-Lime and Teriyaki). Dijon-Honey Marinade is also on offer, but I'll forego it as I'm allergic to honey.

I also whipped up some dog food, which happens to be a favorite with my two pooches: steamed chicken breasts over rice. I chopped up the steamed chicken and mixed it with white rice, which was also steamed and flavored with the cooking juices from the chicken.

This is the norm in my house. The dogs eat chicken breasts, while my husband and I settle for the legs and thighs.

A fowl day was had by all.
