Turkey Sausage & Noodles

Posted Tue, 02/15/05

Wilbert whipped up lunch today, much to my surprise.

He defrosted a package of ground turkey sausage links, cooked them slowly, and then boiled a half-package of egg noodles. After he drained the noodles, he seasoned them with various spices and stirred in a quarter-cup of fat-free half-and-half. He claims the only spices in use were black pepper, garlic, parsley, Italian mix and salt.

He then sliced the turkey sausage and tossed the pieces with the noodles. I also added a bit of Romano cheese to mine. The meal was quite tasty and very light.

My husband doesn't cook very often because of his schedule so I forget how good he is in the kitchen. Since I abhor assembling mundane cuisine on a daily basis, he's left to his own devices most of the time. He likes three square meals a day, while I tend to eat only at lunchtime. We rarely sit down together, but today was an exception and it was rather nice.
