Mindless Foray

Yesterday was what I would describe as a truly mindless foray into junk food: my first meal included two small breakfast burritos, deep-fried and full of sausage and spices (dubbed "Tornados" by the proprietor).

This was followed by a white chocolate latte, and for lunch I consumed a semblance of heath in tomato soup and two chicken tamales. I topped the evening off with a bowl of popcorn lavished with butter as I watched Court TV.

Making the culinary wasteland even worse, I dismissed my exercise regime yesterday afternoon in favor of a two-hour nap. In all fairness, the tamale portion of my food consumption was not nearly as unhealthy as the deep-fried burritos, but I feel whacked out today just the same. Too much junk and not enough common sense, obviously. My only consolation is that the binge behavior is unlike me and I will likely right myself today and get back on track.

While I consider it a "binge" I didn't think of it as such as I actually consumed the food. The junk I ate just happened to be "in the way" as my day progressed.

By the time evening rolled around I was in no mood to settle for exercise. Most of this will be rectified today, however, as I prepare stuffed and baked pork chops, along with steamed broccoli and plain white rice.

If I watch Court TV tonight, rest assured I'll be doing so with exercise weights in hand rather than perched on the couch with popcorn and a remote.
