Syrian fried cauliflower
1 head cauliflower, cut into chunks
Vegetable oil for frying
1/2 C lemon juice
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 tsp. salt
1/2 C fresh cilantro, chopped
Add vegetable oil to a large skillet or deep-fat fryer; cook cauliflower chunks until they turn light golden brown. In a bowl, mix together lemon juice with the garlic and salt; pour mixture over cauliflower and sprinkle with chopped cilantro. Note: Cilantro can be substituted with dried dill weed.
Suggestion: Serve with warmed pita bread.
