1 package (12 ounces) wide egg noodles, yolk-free
1 1/2 to 2 TBS butter or soy margarine
1 1/2 TBS poppy seeds
Salt and pepper to taste
Bring water to a boil in a large pot. Add the noodles and cook according to package directions. Drain the noodles over a bowl in order to reserve one cup of the hot cooking water. Return the noodles to the pot; add the butter or margarine, reserved water, poppy seeds and seasonings. Toss well and serve, or cover until ready to serve.
