2 cans (16 oz. each) pork & beans in tomato sauce
1/2 C peanuts, chopped (optional)
1/3 C light brown sugar, firmly packed
2 TBS tomato catsup
2 TBS dark molasses
4 slices uncooked bacon
In a two-quart casserole dish, combine pork and beans, peanuts, brown sugar, catsup and molasses. Mix well. Arrange uncooked bacon slices on top of casserole. Bake, uncovered, in a 375-degree F oven for about forty-five minutes or until top of casserole bubbles and turns brown in color. Recipe makes about six servings.
