Preheat oven to 350-degrees F. Using microwave, melt the butter in a deep 10" baking dish. In a bowl, mix together flour, sugar and baking powder. Stir in milk; combine thoroughly. Spoon dough mixture over melted butter in the baking dish. In a saucepan, heat together berries and sugar. Pour the berry mixture over cobbler dough. Bake for about thirty minutes, or until crust is golden brown in color. Serve cobbler warm or cold. Note: The crust will rise considerably during baking time. Variations: Substitute berries with prepared apple pie filling or peaches. About Butter: Using salted butter in the recipe leaves a definite salty flavor in the cobbler. If desired, use non-salted butter instead.

Using Peaches for Cobbler: Prepare as above, except use one can (15 oz.) of sliced yellow cling peaches. Chop peach slices into small bite-sized pieces. Heat in microwave (in syrup) with a bit of sugar. Spoon over cobbler dough and bake as directed above. Sprinkle powdered sugar over baked cobbler if desired (as pictured below).

Using Apples for Cobbler: Prepare as above, except use one can (21 oz.) of prepared apple pie filling. Spoon over cobbler dough and bake as directed above. Sprinkle powdered sugar and cinnamon over baked cobbler if desired (as pictured below).
